A man has been sentenced to almost two years in prison for burglaries in southern Leavenworth County, a prosecution official said.
Shane Hill, 38, was sentenced Wednesday in Leavenworth County District Court. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison for three counts of residential burglary, according to County Attorney Todd Thompson.
Thompson said the charges are related to a series of burglaries committed between August and September 2010 in the Tonganoxie area.
Items from the Leavenworth County burglaries reportedly were found in the Kansas City, Kan., home of Hill and his wife, Jessica.
Hill eventually pleaded guilty to the three counts. As part of a plea agreement, he promised to pay restitution for all of the burglaries he was involved with in Leavenworth County, according to Thompson.
The county attorney said Hill's wife previously was convicted of charges related to the burglaries and sentenced to 19 months.
