Following Monday's Washington girls' swim meet, there was little doubt who the best team participating was.

The Lady Lions dominated the competition, taking out its host and Bonner Springs to win first in the competition.

"The girls really rose to the challenge," Lansing coach Mona Hauver said. "I tried a few of them in different events than what they had normally been swimming in and for the most part, they did a great job."

Lansing highlights from the evening's events included:

* Kelli Myracle won first in the 200 freestyle
* Ally Hecht was first in the 500 free and 100 backstroke
* MeKayla DePalois earned first in the 100 butterfly
* Rachel Jessup grabbed first in the 100 breaststroke

Lansing will be at Bonner Springs on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. meet.
