  • Lions still unbeaten after 9-0 victory

  • It was another dominant performance for the Lansing soccer team beating the Ottawa Cyclones 9-0.
    The goals came quick and at a plenty for the Lady Lions. Courtney Callahan started the game with two early back-to-back goals. Jenna Hinckley added two more goals before the half along with another by Cassie Pawlowski for a 5-0 Lansing lead.

    More Lions joined in on the scoring in the second half. Meg Szmed started the half off with her first goal of the year.
    Ashley wilcox shortly added another. Bailey Reynolds added her first goal of the season and Hinckley finished the scoring off with her third goal.
    "We controlled the game really well," Lansing coach Billy Dillon said. "We kept our intensity high and that led to good opportunities."
    Lansing, 3-0, will play at 6:30 p.m. today at Lawrence Free State.
