  • The Lansing boys' golf team hosted its annual tournament Monday, where it placed fifth with 341 points.
    Piper took home the competition's crown with a 307 total.
    Individually, Luke Russell posted a 76 for the third best score in the meet.
    Following him for Lansing included Brett Larimore and Bryan Courtney, each of whom hit an 84, while Lance Hodges put in a 90 and Greg Garvey shot a 91. Camden Chiles recorded a 104.
    Lansing will play at Baldwin Saturday morning.
    Raiders open 2013 season
    The new year officially began for the Immaculata golf team Monday.
    Competing at Holton, the Raiders came in sixth in the six-team meet.
    The squad was led by Dawson Schroeder's 90, followed by Jacob Murphy's 135, Jared Kloeker's 145 and Brock Horosko's 161. Shelby Herring hit a 166 and Maria Dean a 167.
    Imac will be at DeSoto come Thursday for a 3 p.m. contest.
