  • Just last week the Immaculata powerlifting team competed at the 1-2A state meet.
With several medalists, the Lady Raiders were able to earn a two-way tie for fourth overall out of 15 schools while the Imac boys came in a two-way tie for 10th out of 27 schools.
"For only having six members attending the kids did an awesome job," Immaculata coach Sue Lednicky said.
    Below are individual Raider highlights:
    * Olivia Theus, 105-pounds — first in clean; first in squat (set new state record); first in bench; first in total weight lifted (set new state record) and second best overall lifter
    * Maddie Schmuckaer, 123-pounds — second in bench; second in squat; fifth in total weight lifted and sixth overall lifter
    * Paige Armstrong, 132-pounds — third in squat; ninth overall
    * Connor Sloan, 132-pounds — ninth in weight class
    * Brandon Wall, 165-pounds — second in bench; third in clean; first in squat; first in total weight lifted and sixth overall lifter
