A Leavenworth man was taken to the hospital following an accident Saturday on the Lansing side of Eisenhower Road, a police spokesman said.
The crash was reported around 5:15 p.m. Saturday at Eisenhower and Hughes roads. A 54-year-old man had been driving east in a van but stopped and was waiting to make a left turn onto Hughes Road. The van was rear-ended by a passenger car, according to Capt. Ben Ontiveros of the Lansing Police Department.
The van's driver was taken to the hospital. Ontiveros said he didn't know the extent of the driver's injuries.
The passenger car's driver, a 32-year-old Leavenworth woman, was cited for an allegation of inattentive driving, Ontiveros said.
