  • A Leavenworth woman was airlifted to the hospital following a rollover accident Friday night on 187th Street, according to a report from the Sheriff's Office.
The accident was reported at 7:12 p.m. Friday north of Logan Road.
When firefighters arrived, they reported the driver, Brenda L. Wilson, 37, had been ejected from a wrecked 1995 Dodge Caravan. She required advanced life support care.
Leavenworth County EMS personnel requested that a Life Star helicopter be sent to the crash scene. Wilson was flown to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan., according to the report.
Evidence in the vehicle indicated the driver may have been impaired. No arrest was made because of driver's injuries, according to the report.
A blood sample was collected from the driver at the hospital for a DUI investigation.
Wilson's passenger, Lance D. Whitney, 43, Leavenworth, refused to be transported to the hospital. He told authorities he would seek medical care on his own.
