  • In Friday's home match against Shawnee Heights, points were hard to come by for both the Lansing girls' soccer team and its visitors.
The only goal came midway through the first half and unfortunately for the Lady Lions, it was scored by the opposing squad.
After the opening strike, Lansing was never able to find their stride and fell 1-0.
“We had our opportunities, we just were not able to capitalize on the chances we had,” Lansing head coach Billy Dillon said. “That was the difference late in the game.”
Lansing, 8-4, will host rival Leavenworth Monday at 6 p.m.
