The city of Lansing hosted its ninth annual Brew, Blues and Barbecue Cookoff and Lansing Daze Festival Saturday at Eisenhower Crossing.
Up to 42 teams were scheduled to compete in the centerpiece of the festival, the barbecue cookoff sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
With intermittent rain and a forecasted high temperature of 51, city officials canceled the scheduled musical performances and inflatable rides and moved other festival features, like arts and craft vendors, inside the building at Eisenhower Crossing.
