Edward "ED" Williams, 64, of Leavenworth passed away on May 3, 2013 at NorthCare Hospice. He was born March 15, 1949 to Robert and Mary Williams in Flint, Michigan.
Ed is survived by his daughter Michelle (Steve) Kunde of Kansas City, Mo., son Eliathan "Phil" Williams of Lansing, Kan., son Joshua (Amanda) Williams of Kansas City, daughter Jessica Williams and fiance Jeff Wanstreet of Independence, son Jackson Montgomery of Leavenworth, grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, Monet, LeAnne, Lorelai, Hailey, Samantha, and Jayce, brothers and sisters: Michael Williams of Selah, Wash., Jacquie Owens of Leavenworth, Kathy Lopez of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Teresa (James) Green of Denver, Colo., Randy (Megan) Williams of Northville, Mich., Shelia (Chuck) Gottschalk of Leavenworth, Wendy Speidel of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Scott, sister, Debbi Abbott, and grandson, Christian Williams.
Ed served in two branches of the military, Army and National Guard, totaling 23 years. He enjoyed fishing and bowling and recently fulfilled his bucket list wish of a perfect 300 game. He had a passion for music and acting. He could often be found singing karaoke or performing in local plays. Ed will forever be known for his love of life and his sometimes un-funny jokes.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
