Donald D. Fushia, 68, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away May 5, 2013.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 3 p.m., at the Salvation Army with Captain Rick and Melody Hamelund officiating.
Internment will be at a later date.
Donald was born July 17, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Leonard D. and Andra P. (Jefferies) Fushia.
He attended and graduated from high school, and then earned a degree in architectural drafting.
He married Dorothy M. Pittman, December 6, 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Donald was employed as a bus driver with Santa Fe Trails until his retirement. He was a great dad and enjoyed playing chess, helping the homeless, and working at the Salvation Army, where he was a Soldier of Men with the Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, three daughters, Bonnie Andrea and her husband Dan of Kansas City, Heidi Fushia of New Mexico, and Angel Fushia of Alaska, four sons; Howard C. Fushia of Leavenworth, Jeffrey and Aaron Fushia, both of Lincoln, Nebraska, one step-son, Lawrence Mauslein, and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Clarence Mauslein.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the Salvation Army.
