To the editor:
We have a great Library in Lansing, and the reason is great people. I send this to apprise you and hopefully the wider community of the departure of one of the most important pillars of the library's success, Ms. Kim Turner. I can't do justice in my words to the quality of her contribution, so I include instead the texts of some of the commentary cards left at the library. They are representative samples, but I am sure you can feel the sincerity.
Dear Ms. Kim,
Every military family has people and places they would like to take with them when they move. A favorite hair dresser, restaurant, place to hang out and have fun. We are moving soon and if we could, we would take you with us. Since we cannot, we'll have to keep you in our little red box and hope you know we are sending you hugs from time to time. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and fun story time. You are amazing making such a positive difference in our children's lives and for military families, making it a memorable time.
All Our Best and God Bless!
Hugs Penelope and Rob
Dear Ms. Kim,
Thank you so much for a wonderful year full of dancing and great stories!
I don't think we will ever find such a great library again. We just wanted to give you something to show how thankful we are
With lots of love,
