An Olathe man was taken to the hospital Saturday after his vehicle overturned in Basehor, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 24-40 and 142nd Street.
The 32-year-old man was driving west on U.S. 24-40 in a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. The vehicle reportedly was traveling at a high rate of speed.
He attempted to make a left turn without slowing down. The sport utility vehicle went off the road and overturned, according to the report.
The man was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
It's unclear whether he had been wearing a seat belt.
