One person was taken to the hospital following a collision Thursday on U.S. 24-40 in Basehor, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at 1:27 p.m. Thursday at U.S. 24-40 and 155th Street. Traffic lights at that intersection were not working.
A 33-year-old Bonner Springs woman, who was driving east in a 2002 Kia Sportage, slowed to allow another vehicle through the intersection. The Kia Sportage was rear-ended by a 2004 Buick Regal driven by a 59-year-old McLouth woman, according to the report.
One of the passengers of the Kia Sportage was injured. The 23-year-old Bonner Springs woman, who had been wearing a seat belt, was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the Kia Sportage may have had an injury, but the report does not indicate that she went to the hospital.
No one in the Buick Regal reported injuries, according to the report.
