Leavenworth has 18 swimmers win first-place medals at its league championships.

Another summer, another completed Leavenworth Riptides season.
On Thursday, the local swim team competed in the Northeast Kansas Swim League Championships and came in second with 431 points. For the second straight year, the Piper Piranhas claimed first with 617 points.
