International military students from Fort Leavenworth visited Leavenworth City Hall Monday.
International military students from Fort Leavenworth visited Leavenworth City Hall Monday. They were visiting City Hall and other locations as part of the city of Leavenworth's International Military Students' Honorary Citizens Day. The international military students are members of the Command and General Staff Officer Course class of 2014-01.
There are 70 international military students in the class. While at City Hall, the officers heard from various officials in the city and county governments as well as Leavenworth public school officials. The international military students also toured the Justice Center and had lunch at the Riverfront Community. During the luncheon, the officers were presented honorary citizenship certificates. The international military students began the first of two preparation courses July 2. The next one will begin July 24. The Command and General Staff Officer Course will begin Aug. 12.
