The Kansas Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that eastbound and westbound Kansas Highway 92 over the Centennial Bridge will be closed to all traffic for bridge inspection work between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 26, weather permitting. High winds and rain could delay this closure until later in the week.
No marked detour will be provided. Drivers should expect delays and must use alternate routes during this day-long lane closure. Suggested alternate detour routes include U.S. Highway 59, Amelia Earhart Bridge in Atchison or the I-435 Kansas River Bridge in Wyandotte County.
The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and "Give 'Em a Brake!" when approaching and driving through the project work zone.
