Kevin Rusala Taylor was the youngest child of Pauline Taylor - Fitzhugh and Rusala Ephriam Taylor Jr. He was also the father of TraRon D. Taylor.
Born July 12th, 1958 in Leavenworth Kan., Kevin grew up touching the hearts of everyone he came in contact with, overcoming life struggles and making friends near and far through his life's journey. He is remembered for his jokes and pranks, great smile, boastful laugh, charming personality, and stylish dress.
As a teen, Kevin joined the U.S. Army and married a young Veronica Riggs, where their union produced the birth of his only child, TraRon. Life happened and the two parted ways; Kevin picked himself up, refocused his life and pursued higher education and received a B.A in Business Administration. His journey then restarted where long-standing relationships and friendships were born and fostered. His career also progressed leading him to management positions at a few companies that allowed him to live in cities across the U.S., such as Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio and finally residing in Houston, Texas.
A few years ago, Kevin's health began to decline and after a long struggle of heart and kidney complications, Kevin departed his life with his mother, Pauline and son, TraRon, (Shaynan Hurst) by his side. He is survived by the two, as well as his two grandchildren, Destiny and David Taylor. He also leaves behind his four sisters and brother, Dorothy, Victoria, Roxanne, Michelle and Rusala; his two stepsisters, Helen and Val Doris; four stepbrothers, Charles, Eric, Darrel and Kenneth; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his extended family in Houston, Texas, a wonderful network of close friends and coworkers. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Rusala Ephriam Taylor, stepfather, Charles N. Fitzhugh and a brother, Matthew E. C. Taylor and stepsister, Karen Hunt.
