Thursday was National Carousel Day, and the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum, 320 S. Esplanade St. in Leavenworth, celebrated by offering two-for-one rides on the carousel at the facility.
Pictured is Curt, Kizzie, Jenna and Becky White of Olathe, Kan., riding the 1913 Parker Carousel No. 118, which turned 100 years old earlier this year.
The museum will host a Family Fun Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the museum in which visitors will be able to get free carousel rides with a hot dog dinner for $6, play carnival games and help break a pinata at 7 p.m.
