  • They’re "off and running." That is the 35 miniature carousel horses that have been painted by local business owners or employees.
The horses are now on display in local businesses for the entire month of August and half of September. Horses have names such as "Hospitality," "Gallop For Glory," "Posie the Pole Dancer" and "Chester."
This project is designed to promote awareness of the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum and local businesses.
People can vote for the ones they like best at the locations of their favorite carousel horses. Each vote costs a penny. All proceeds will go to the C. W. Parker Carousel Museum.
The museum is hosting the National Carousel Conference in late September and the attendees will vote for the horse they believe to be the "Best of the Show." The winner of the "People's Choice Award" will go to the horse with the most monetary votes.
