  • A Leavenworth man pleaded no contest to possession with intent to distribute oxycodone and morphine, according to a prosecution official.
    Joel Matthew Lemke, 35, entered the plea Friday in Leavenworth County District Court.
    A jury trial was scheduled to begin Monday for one of the charges, according to County Attorney Todd Thompson.
    The crime involving oxycodone occurred July 1, 2010, and the crime involving morphine occurred Oct. 11, 2012.
    Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 18. Lemke faces a possible sentence of 56 months in prison. He remains in custody at the Leavenworth County Jail.
