A rural Linwood man was taken to the hospital after his truck went airborne during an accident, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office.

A rural Linwood man was taken to the hospital after his truck went airborne during an accident, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office.

The accident was reported at 6:49 p.m. Thursday on 170th Street near Kreider Road.

The 48-year-old man was driving south in a 1990 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The vehicle went off the road and hit a railroad tie in a driveway. The truck went airborne, coming to rest in a ditch, according to the report.

The driver was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
