The 41st Annual Labor Day Tennis Tournament will be a three-day event starting on Saturday, Aug. 31.
The 41st Annual Labor Day Tennis Tournament will be a three-day event starting on Saturday, Aug. 31. The event will be at David Brewer Park, Leavenworth High School and Cody Park. Registration can be made at the Riverside Community Center, and must be completed by Wednesday, Aug. 28. The cost is $14 per person for each event. Doubles teams are $20 per event. The maximum for entries is three. The junior boys singles divisions are 18 and under, 16 and under and 14 and under. There is also an 18 and under doubles division for boys. The junior girls divisions are 18 and under singles and 18 and under doubles. The senior divisions are men's singles and doubles, women's singles and doubles, women's 35 and over singles, men's 35 and over singles and doubles, men's 45 and over singles, men's 55 and over singles, men's 50 and over doubles, mixed doubles, and parent and child doubles. On Saturday, Aug. 31, men's and women's singles will be at 8 a.m., boys singles, and 35, 45, and 55 and over singles will be at 8:30 a.m. Doubles participants are to report at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 31. Mixed doubles will be at 3 p.m., while parent and child doubles will be at 4 p.m. There will be a picnic in the afternoon on Aug. 31 at David Brewer Park. It is free to tournament participants, but $5 for guests.
