A woman went to a Leavenworth hospital after she reportedly was hit in the head with a beer bottle, a police spokesman said.
But the 25-year-old Leavenworth woman, who suffered a laceration to her head, did not wish to to talk to authorities about what happened, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
Police learned of the incident shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday after the women went to Saint Luke's Cushing Hospital for treatment.
Nicodemus said police have information indicating the woman was hit with a beer bottle somewhere in the Woodland Village apartment complex. The deputy chief did not comment on the source of this information.
Nicodemus said the woman received stitches for her injuries.
At this point, police do not have any followup work to pursue in the case.
