Russell P. Parrish, 54, of Leavenworth, died, Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013.
Russell P. Parrish, 54, of Leavenworth, died, Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013. He was born Aug. 21, 1958, in Liberty, Mo., the son of Tom and Dorothy (Woodward) Parrish Sr.
On Sept. 26, 1981, Russell married Kim Wiseman at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She survives at the home. He is also survived by a son, Matthew (Amanda) Parrish, two daughters, Hanna (James) Byrnes and Sara Parrish, two granddaughters, Madison Parrish and Sofiah Byrnes, his mother, Dorothy, a brother, Tom (Becky) Parrish Jr., two sisters, Linda Huff and Catherine Knowles, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Parrish Sr.
Russell worked in the plumbing supply business for over 20 years and was most recently employed at Price Chopper.
He loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening and coaching baseball. Russell coached baseball locally for 13 years and was proud to be honored as coach of the year in 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.
