Although the temperatures are quite warm this week, it s never to early to think about snow.
While I normally encourage people to buy up the snow coats, boots and winter outerwear at the end of snow season, I have to be honest and say that I struck out in finding snow items in the sizes I needed last spring.
However, I am not in despair. This week I was able to purchase all my snow clothing for a fraction of what I would pay at the department stores. I have learned when all else fails, eBay is my friend.
This week I was able to purchase a brand new snow bib for $5 and a brand new pair of snow boots for under $10. The snow boots came with free shipping.
The secret to my success on eBay is that I am purchasing the merchandise off season.
Not a lot of people are thinking snow in the middle of 90 degree heat.
Therefore, people are not bidding on snow gear and I am not getting into a bidding war. The secret to shopping on eBay is to not get into a bidding war and plan for items ahead of the season that you need them.
This theory does not just work for eBay. I also was able to purchase winter church shoes for $5 this week at a local shoe store and was able to receive a store discount on top of that.
The store was marking down last year's merchandise and so I was also able to snag another great deal.
The key to finding a great deal is to plan ahead.
If you wait until the last minute to purchase an item then you find yourself in a panic and in many cases paying full price.
