  • Two teens were taken to the hospital following a rollover accident in southeast Leavenworth County, according to a report from the Sheriff's Office.
The teens' injuries were considered minor. The accident was reported at 7:30 a.m. Friday on Archer Road.
A 16-year-old Kanas City, Kan., boy was driving east on Archer Road in a 1993 Buick LeSabre. He reportedly was driving too fast for conditions.
He lost control of the vehicle, which went off the road, struck a fence and overturned in a front yard of a residence, according to the report.
The driver and his passenger, a 16-year-old rural Bonner Springs boy, had been on their way to Bonner Springs High School at the time of the crash.
The teens were taken from the scene by their parents and transported by private vehicles to Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., according to the report.
The overturned car was considered a total loss.
