A teen was taken to the hospital after a vehicle overturned near Lansing, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office.

The accident was reported at 3:40 p.m. Saturday at 155th Street and 4-H Road.

A 17-year-old Platte City, Mo., boy was driving south on 155th Street in a 1991 Isuzu Rodeo. He attempted to turn east onto 4-H Road. He lost control of the vehicle because of excessive speed, according to the report.

The sport utility vehicle went into a ditch on the south side of 4-H Road and rolled over once.

The driver was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to Saint John Hospital for a possible head injury.

There also were two 15-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man in the vehicle. One of the passengers suffered a small scratch to one of his arms, but no other injuries were reported.
