  • Anthony “Tony” Clement Wagner, 78, of Leavenworth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at his home.

  • Anthony “Tony” Clement Wagner, 78, of Leavenworth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at his home. He was born Oct. 16, 1934, in Leavenworth County, the son of Peter M. and Mary E. (Domann) Wagner.
Tony was the sixth of ten children. He was preceded in death by siblings, Peter, Clarence, Robert, Walter, Leo and infant Clarita.  
Tony graduated from Easton High School, the class of 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and superintendent for LEXECO for 40 years until he retired in 1996.  
On July 14, 1962, he married Mary Cecelia Heintzelman, they were married 51 years. She survives at the home. He is also survived by his children, Joan (Bob) Nye, Connie (David) Eisenbarth, Rita (Lenny) Oatney, Mike (Deanna) Wagner, Liz (Bruce) Hunt and Ed (Blu) Wagner; his grandchildren, Jeff, Jamie, Whitney, Ashley, Matthew, Cody, Jessica, Derrick, Jennifer, Sierra, Jacob, Brooke, Dylan, Nick, Hannah, Luke, Natalie and Holly; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kayden, Myra, Landon, Jasper, Willow, Remington and Bryce; his siblings, Clara Goetz, Merlin Wagner and Marie Kenny.
Tony was a member of St. Lawrence Church and Easton Lions Club.
Visitation beginning with praying the rosary will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Lawrence Church, Easton. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Lawrence Church or Children’s Mercy Hospital.
