  • Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey W. Wright will assume responsibility as the command sergeant major for the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center during a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Abrams Loop in front of the Lewis and Clark building at Fort Leavenworth.

  • Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey W. Wright will assume responsibility as the command sergeant major for the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center during a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Abrams Loop in front of the Lewis and Clark building at Fort Leavenworth.
    The ceremony is open to the public.
    As the senior enlisted person on the post, Wright will focus on the development of adaptive noncommissioned officer leaders who can think critically and are well trained and educated in the art and science of war.
    Wright comes to Fort Leavenworth from his most recent assignment as the senior enlisted advisor to the Special Operations Joint Task Force in Kabul, Afghanistan.
    A native of Lawton Oklahoma, Wright holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Park University and has attended every level of the United States Army's NCO education system. In addition to the Sergeant Major School, Wright has graduated the Jumpmaster Course, Special Forces Operations and Intelligence Course, Free Fall Parachutist Course, the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape or SERE School, Special Operations Training Course, Free Fall Jumpmaster Course, Airborne School, Static-line Jumpmaster Course, Air Assault School and the Keystone Course.
