    1. The Heritage Center in downtown Leavenworth will be hosting it's monthly dinner and music program Friday night. The program once again will be featuring the band Wild Hayride. Jan Martin, activities director for the Heritage Center, said Wild Hayride is considered the premier country music band in eastern Kansas.
     
    2. Martin said the monthly event always features a hearty dinner that includes dessert. The meal is prepared by volunteers at the Heritage Center. She said reservations are recommended. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday. For people who want to attend the show only, that begins at 7:30 p.m.
     
    3. People also will be able to dance during the program. Martin said the show is not a formal event, and many people dress in country clothing.
     
    Why you should attend:
    "It's a fun time," Martin said. "It's good music, and it's good food."
    She said people can see old friends and meet new ones.
     
    When: Friday, doors open 5:45 p.m., dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., show begins at 7:30 p.m.

    Tickets: $20 for the dinner and show, $12 for the show only
