  • Two Leavenworth men reported they were shot at after an argument at a convenience store, a police spokesman said.
No injuries were reported. The suspects have not been identified.
The incident was reported at 10:46 p.m. Friday. The victims, ages 19 and 23, reported that they exchanged words with two people in a vehicle at a convenience store in the 700 block of Spruce Street.
"When the victims pulled out of the parking lot in their vehicle, they noticed the suspects following them," said Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
At one point, the suspects' vehicle was closely tailgating the victims. In the area of Grand Avenue and Cherokee Street, someone from the suspects' car reportedly fired shots at the victims, according to Nicodemus.
    The suspects then drove away.
The victims went home where they noticed bullet damage to the back of their vehicle. They called the the police.
Nicodemus said the argument apparently started because the victims felt the suspects were staring at them and asked if they had a problem.
The deputy chief said police are working to obtain descriptions of the suspects.
