  • Two people were arrested Thursday for warrants that developed from drug investigations conducted by the Sheriff's Office.
The arrests were made in what was described as the 26000 block of 178th Street. A 46-year-old woman who lives there was arrested for warrants that just had been issued, according to Undersheriff Jim Sherley.
The warrants stemmed from multiple cases dating from 2010 to 2013. The charges filed against the woman included distribution of controlled substances, possession of amphetamine, possession of hydrocodone, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
The crimes are alleged to have occurred at the property on 179th Street.
A 29-year-old man also was taken into custody at the residence. Multiple warrants had been issued for his arrest through Leavenworth County District Court. His charges include manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no drug tax stamp and possession of marijuana, according to Sherley.
