  • Lansing volleyball beat Tonganoxie 25-14, 25-22 and 25-17 on Tuesday. Head coach Julie Slater said injuries has been an issue, so it was good to get the league win. “Amanda Dalbey and Allyssa Lutgen are both doing well after being out with injuries,” she said. “Now we have Katelyn Kittrell out with a concussion.” The Lady Lions are 10-7 after the in. “Overall, we are improving all the time as we begin to move toward the postseason, which is exciting,” Slater said. Meghan Tauke led in the team with 12 kills and 11 blocks. Amanda Dalbey and Allyssa Lutgen each had nine kills. Lindsay Davis contributed with seven kills and Morgan Moss had three. JoLee Ritchhart led in digs with 19, followed by Amanda Dalbey with 18, Alex Lesniak and Stevie Sherard each with 12, and Kylie Farris with 11. Stevie Sherard had 36 assists in the match. The Lady Lions will be at Blue Valley West with Topeka-Hayden at 5 p.m. Thursday.
