Rose M. Qualley, 77 of Leavenworth, Kan., passed away October 2nd, 2013 at a Lansing, Kan., Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Phil Winkelbauer officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, October 7th, 2013 from 2-8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery at 11 a.m., following the Mass of Christian Burial
Rose was born June 22, 1936 in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of John and Helen (Kersten) Budy.
She married Purley D. Qualley in March of 1953 in Baltimore, Md. Purley preceded her in death on September 6th, 1999.
Rose was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed crafts, bingo, and going out with friends and family.
Rose was a member of the Lady Knights, Sacred Heart Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles, Bunco Club, and was very actively involved in the church bazaar and fall festivals over the years.
She is survived by one son; Ron Qualley and his wife Karen of Lansing, Kan., two grandchildren; Jaxon and Brynne Qualley, two sisters; Sylvia Schaefer of Brookfield, Wis., and Mary Ellen Minnich and her husband Fred of Leavenworth, Kan., one brother; John Budy and his wife Glenda of Schertz, Texas, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Don Schaefer.
