The Raiders got a late goal from Senior James Cha and beat Maur Hill-Mount Academy 1-0 on Tuesday. Sophomore Mark Hernandez’s shot went off the goalkeeper to Cha who kicked it under the goalkeeper’s dive at the 62-minute mark. Hernandez has 21 goals this season, so Maur Hill triple teamed him whenever he got near the goal. It opened up an opportunity for Cha to score and give the Raiders the win. Immaculata was without defender Nathan Reardon because of a knee injury, and head coach Frank Mazeitis said he can’t credit sophomore Andrew Jones enough for filling that spot. Senior goalkeeper Phillip Hernandez had 11 saves on the day. The Raiders will visit Maranatha at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
