1. The city of Lansing will be hosting its eighth annual Autumn in the Grove fall festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Kelly Grove Park. The park is located off of East Gilman Road in the area of Kansas 7 Highway and Gilman Road. Parking will be available at Crossroads United Methodist Church, which is located across the street. The event is sponsored by the city's Economic Development Department and Convention & Visitors Bureau. Admission will be free.
2. The event will feature more than 40 craft vendors as well as other activities. Local band County Road 5 will be performing from noon to 4 p.m. Other activities include pumpkin decorating, a video game theater and face painting.
3. People attending Autumn in the Grove also will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries in a scarecrow contest sponsored by the Lansing Historical Museum. The contest has three categories: day care/school classes, businesses and families.

She said Kelly Grove Park is "beautiful this time of year."
