  • Leavenworth and Lansing get top 5 finishes in 12-team tournament

  • After going 4-2 at the De Soto Spikefest Tournament over the weekend, Leavenworth volleyball finished third in the 12-team tournament. The Lady Pioneers got wins over Jefferson County North, Eudora, Basehor-Linwood and Lansing. They lost to De Soto and Baldwin. Leavenworth was down by 10 points against Lansing in the first set, but was able to come back and get the win. Michelle Tennant and Tyler Johnson were named to the All-Tournament Team. Lansing went 3-3 to finish fourth in the tournament. The Lady Lions got wins over Wamego, Frontenac and Spring Hill. The Losses came to Baldwin, De Soto and Leavenworth. Lansing is 16-16 and will host Turner at 5 p.m. on Thursday for the pink out game.
