Three people were taken to the hospital following a collision Monday on U.S. 24-40 near Tonganoxie, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 4:29 p.m. Monday at U.S. 24-40 and 206th Street.
A 22-year-old Seabrook, Texas, woman was driving east on U.S. 24-40 in a 2000 Ford Taurus. She reportedly came to a stop in order to make a U-turn. A 26-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man, who was driving east in a 2008 Ford Edge, apparently didn't see the Taurus come to a stop. The Edge struck the Taurus from behind, according to the report.
The driver of the Edge was transported to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan. The other driver was transported to Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. A 21-year-old Tonganoxie man who was a passenger in the Taurus also was transported to Providence Medical Center, according to the report.
The drivers and passenger all were wearing seat belts.
