Raye G. Langley, 69, of Easton, Kansas passed away October 22, 2013 at a Kansas City, Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home, Leavenworth, Kansas with Rev. Billy Hughes of Easton United Methodist Church officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2013 from 2 until 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.
Raye was born July 8, 1944 in Easton, Kansas the son of David M. and Mary E. (Buchannon) Langley.  Raye attended and graduated from Easton High School.
He married Shirley L. Kell on December 11, 1965 at Easton United Methodist Church, Easton, Kansas.
Raye was employed from 1973 until his retirement in 1998 with the Leavenworth Public Works Department.  Raye was an lifetime farmer, and worked various jobs at the Easton Locker, delivered mail part time for the United States Post Office, and worked reading meters at the Easton Water Department and also did snow removal for the city.  Raye also custom baled hay, and built custom fence.
Raye was a member of the Masonic Lodge, was actively involved his entire life with Easton United Methodist Church.  
Raye loved being with family, friends, and was always known as hardworking and generous.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Shirley, one daughter; Rebecca Gildner and her husband Russell of Easton, Kansas, three sons; David and his wife Dena of Leavenworth, Kansas, Dale and his wife Brenda of Atchison, Kansas, Daniel and his wife Jennifer of Leavenworth ,Kansas. Shirley and Raye also mentored John Simonis and loved him as their own.  One sister; Vera Meinert and her husband Lester of Tonganoxie, Kansas, two brothers; Dean Langley and his companion Marie of Mankato, Kansas, Carl and his wife Linda of Leavenworth, Kansas, twelve grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Mann, and a brother James Langley
Pallbearers will be his four grandsons, Christopher Langley, Zachary Langley, Russell Guildner II and Justin Langley, and friends of the family John Simonis and Matthew Hutchens.
Honorary Pallbearer will be his grandson Ryan “Gage” Gildner.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the Pleasant Ridge FFA and Easton United Methodist Church.
