Lansing’s season came to an end on Monday with a 2-0 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas in Regional play. “We played a great game tonight as a whole,” head coach Billy Dillon said. “Our defense played well against an attack oriented team that can put points on the board. “Add that with outstanding play by our goal keeper Briscoe Elliott, we stayed in the game to the very end.” Dillon added that they had opportunities to score, but they just couldn’t finish off with goals. With the loss, the Lions end up with a 7-9-1 record. “We were in every game this year and no one should hang their head after tonight’s game,” Dillon said. “This team worked hard all year and I am proud of everyone of them.”
