Nine area cross country runners and two teams qualified for State Meets after Saturday’s Regional Meets. Leavenworth finished second as a team in the 5A Topeka-Seaman Regional to qualify for the 5A State Meet. Taryn Schoen and Allison Ramson qualified as individuals after finishing second and seventh, respectively. Lansing’s Jordan Maestas won the Topeka-Seaman Regional title to qualify as an individual. Emma Bresser and Catherine Strehlow qualified after finishing eighth and 16th, respectively. On the boys’ side, Lansing’s Matt Hanks Tanner King, and Leavenworth’s Tyler Hyde will go to the 5A State Meet after finishing fifth, seventh and 19th, respectively. The Pleasant Ridge Lady Rams won the 3A Sabetha Regional title to qualify for the 3A State Meet. Kristina Silvers finished sixth to qualify as an individual. Both the 5A and 3A State Meets will be on Saturday at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kan.
