No injuries were reported as a result of a crash Wednesday in Leavenworth that caused one vehicle to roll onto its side, a police spokesman said.

The accident was reported at 12:03 p.m. Wednesday at Fifth Avenue and Spruce Street.

An 89-year-old Leavenworth woman was driving east on Spruce Street in a 2000 Chevrolet Impala when she allegedly failed to stop for a red light. The car collided with a southbound 2012 Jeep Liberty driven by a 24-year-old Leavenworth man, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.

The collision caused the Jeep to roll onto its side.

A passenger also was in the Impala at the time of the accident. Nicodemus said everyone had been wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Impala was cited by police for allegedly running a red light.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
