To the editor:
The real reason for the rocky roll-out is the face-saving magnanimous empathy shown by the Democrats. What would the GOP have done had the roll-out been flawless? No high visibility in hearings?
But here are some more serious questions: Why have the GOP governors refused to use their private sector expertise to implement the ACA program of their own design? Surely, they could have sabotaged it more easily if they had?
I thought "big government" was the bane of society? Surely they knew that funds had been curtailed at the appropriation level to hinder the implementation job? Yet, they invited the government into their state.
Why have governors like the one in TX and, I think, our KS, refused Medicaid expansion? Would not this expansion be a no-cost coverage for many needy constituents? What would be the reason for this abandonment of such a non-GOP leaning demographic?
Yes, I think after the shut-down smack-down for the GOP, they needed to be puffed-up doing what they do best-complaining about non-existent problems and trying to remember they had already passed a bill to defund/delay Obamacare!
Oh, by the way, like car-insurance, policies must conform to the minimum coverage of the state. Do you want to buy a policy that does not provide that coverage?
