Justin Dean Shirley, 50, was arrested around 11 p.m. Thursday at his residence on Kissinger Road. Shirley is alleged to have shot a 55-year-old man during an argument at the residence, according to Undersheriff Jim Sherley.
The injured man, who was shot once, was flown by air ambulance to a hospital. The undersheriff said the man was in intensive care Friday.
A 32-year-old woman also was at the residence when deputies arrived Thursday night. She was interviewed at the scene and released.
Shirley appeared Friday in Leavenworth County District Court. His bond was set at $100,000, according to County Attorney Todd Thompson.
