1. The Fort Leavenworth Spouses' Club will be hosting its annual Holiday Bazaar this weekend at the Mission Training Complex, located off of the intersection of Fourth Street and Metropolitan Avenue. Michelle McLaughlin with the FLSC said the bazaar, which is open to the public, will be a one-stop shopping holiday event. There will be a ribbon cutting to kick off the event at 10 a.m. Friday. The bazaar will continue through Sunday.
2. More than 40 vendors are scheduled to be featured during the bazaar. McLaughlin said there will be vendors from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. And there will be one vendor from Louisiana who will be selling German chocolates. Non-profit organizations also will be operating food booths. She said organizers have tried to make it a "true community event." Various organizations also are providing volunteers for the event.
