Jay Z received an impressive nine Grammy nominations this year, but newcomers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Kendrick Lamar are hot on his heels. Both acts received seven nominations, and all will have to face off against Kanye West and Drake for Best Rap Album.
Also receiving seven nominations are Pharrell and Justin Timberlake, who was not recognized for Album of the Year. Drake received five, while Lorde, Bruno Mars, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift each received four.
Oddly enough, Lorde was not recognized in the Best New Artist race, but her song "Royals" is nominated for Record and Song of the Year.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will air Sunday, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on CBS.
