A 22-year-old man reported that he was robbed at gunpoint early this morning in Leavenworth, a police spokesman said.
The incident was reported at 4:22 a.m. in the area of 10th Avenue and Holman Street.
The victim was walking when he was approached by another man. The other man reportedly pointed a handgun at the victim. The suspect demanded the victim's wallet and phone, according to Maj. Dan Nicodemus, deputy chief of the Leavenworth Police Department.
"The victim reported that he dropped his wallet and phone and ran away," Nicodemus said.
The victim, who was not injured, was unable to provide police with a description of the suspect.
