Both University of Saint Mary basketball teams lost Saturday at Tabor College. The women fell 85-44, and the men lost 63-51.
Freshman Grant Greenberg led all scorers with 19 points. Junior Jamal Akakpo made three 3-pointers to score nine points.
For the women's team, senior Adelyn Ezeh led the team with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Senior Jennifer Harmon and junior Shanice Palmer each scored eight points.
The Lady Spires were out rebounded 44-31 and were minus six in turnover differential.
After the loss, the USM women are 3-14 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
The men are fifth in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 5-3 record and an 11-7 overall record.
USM hosts Ottawa University on Wednesday. The women's game starts at 6 p.m. with the men's game following.
