  • A grass fire burned across about 30 acres Tuesday afternoon near Easton, a fire department official said.
    No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday west of Easton in the Potter Road area, said Lance Kiehl, assistant chief of the Easton Township Fire Department.
He said members of the Kickapoo Township Fire Department, Leavenworth County Fire District No. 1, Fort Leavenworth Fire Department and Union Township Fire Department assisted the Easton Township Fire Department with blaze.
He said firefighters were at the scene for a few hours. Hay inside a barn caught fire, but firefighters were able to save the barn.
